Translating:
S54=16584
16384 - enable V.92/V.44 on IOS that doesn't support capabilities exchange
256 - add 0.5 to the SQ threshold (default)
32 - PC-tel workaround
8 - enable power control (default)
4 - 4-point training
S0=0 autoanswer after 0 sec.
S29=12 V.92 automode
S21=15 V.44, V.42bis, MNP5 enabled
S62=8 Allow V.92 MoH for up to 4 minutes
S63=3 Enable QC with ANSpcm @ -12dBm
S34=18000 Fall forward after 3 good minutes
S40=10 Disconnect after 10 consecutive retrains
S10=50 Hangup after 5 sec carrier loss

Leaving out the default settings and the ones that don't apply to
NextPort, I'd use:
&FS0=0S62=8
If you want NextPort to receive at a more conservative rate (not normally
needed; NextPort does a good job by default of selecting its receive
rate), set S76 to 1, 2 or 3.
