> how did you measure the performance? How's your CPU load, and are you

If the CPU load is fine and you are not seeing lost/discarded fragments, 
but still are seeing less of a throughput gain than you expect ... then 
you might want to see whether your aggregate performance goes up as you 
add multiple concurrent streams.
