Silvere,

What type of Gigabit cards are in each switch? 8 port, 16 port, 16 port
fabric enabled?

Thanks,
Thomas

Subject: [nsp] big problem

Hi all,

I have a big problem:

I have two switches:
- one Cat 6509 with sup1/MSCF1
- and one Cat6509 with sup2/MSFC2 + Fabric enabled with gigabyte card
fabric enabled.

i have configured an etherchannel link with two gigabit link (see jpeg):

so when i enabled the port on both catalyst 6500, i receive the following
error on Cat6509 with sup2/MSFC2 :

: %EC-SP-5-CANNOT_BUNDLE2: Gi7/1 is not compatible with Gi4/1 and
will be suspended (vlan mask is different)

so, i entered to verify:

sh cdp nei 7/1 => ok
sh cdp nei 7/2 => entry not found

sh trunk and sh spantree are activate.and fowarding.

Help me please, i don't unsderstand why it doesn't run.

Regards

Silvere M.
