worry about the router not detecting the modem. what cable are you using
between them? you should turn on "exec" under the line. since you have
"login local" configured it should ask for a username THEN a password...so
if it is just asking for a password i would assume that is the password
feature built in to the USR modem.

Dear All,
I m connecting a US robotics modem( courier V.everything) to a cisco 3662

This is the configuration :

line aux 0
no exec
login local
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure discovery
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 57600
flowcontrol hardware
line vty 0 4
password testing
login
Router is showing following error :
04:48:02: TTY225: detection speed (19200) response ---`8<---
04:48:05: TTY225: detection speed (9600) response ---`8<---
04:48:09: TTY225: detection speed (2400) response ---`8<---
04:48:12: TTY225: detection speed (1200) response ---`8<---
04:48:15: TTY225: detection speed (300) response ---`8<---
04:48:19: TTY225: detection speed (115200) response ---`8<---
04:48:22: TTY225: detection speed (57600) response ---`8<---
04:48:25: TTY225: detection speed (38400) response ---`8<---

When i dial into the modem it is giving password prompt but it not taking
