Good Luck,

Been trying to resolve this one for some time. you can try the
counters available in the smon mib but they are not in/out only total..

The other thought we have had is to create a policer and then pole the qos
mibs.. Seems like alot of complexity for someing as simple as in/out
Octets.

Console> (enable) show snmp counters 100 smon
>
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalPkts = 418417
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalOverflowPkts = 0
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalHCPkts = 418417
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalOctets = 28894771
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalOverflowOctets = 0
> smonVlanIdStatsTotalHCOctets = 28894771
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastPkts = 137830
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastOverflowPkts = 0
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastHCPkts = 137830
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastOctets = 9372952
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastOverflowOctets = 0
> smonVlanIdStatsNUcastHCOctets = 9372952

What is the accepted way these days to get In/Out and Rate stats on a
per-VLAN basis off of a Hybrid 6500?

Doing a "show int vlan xxx" or similiar snmp scrapes on the MSFC doesnt'
do much good since you only get information for those packets that aren't
MLS Switched.

Basicly, if each customer is a separate VLAN, how can we get a decent
analysis of how much traffic they route?
