What version are you running ?
On 12.1.13E4 I don't have the vlans in the config.
I checked just in case I was going mad...

We run RPR+ and global config mode too, and the VLAN info certainly
ends up in the config where it can be seen:
redundancy
 mode rpr-plus
 main-cpu
  auto-sync running-config
  auto-sync standard
!
vlan dot1q tag native
!
vlan 5
 name ...
!
vlan 6
 name ...
!
vlan 7
 name ...
!
Or isn't this what you meant?
