[nsp] Automated tool for catching duplex mismatches on switc
h ports?

Only catches it if you've got a duplex mismatch between CDP devices, or in
some cases if the switch is set to auto but the device is hard codeed and
you get late collisions... But if it's the other way around (the switch is
hardcoded and the device isn't) then FCS and Alignment errors don't get
logged.
Thanks tho.

Maybe not what you're looking for, but if you start having your switches log
to syslog servers, then duplex mismatches are nicely logged, once every ten
minutes till you fix it. The log even tells you which switches and ports
are involved. Ditto for vlan type mismatches.

Does anyone know of or use any tools to catch FCS/Alignment errors on switch
ports automatically and report on them somehow?
We are using Traffic Director to get RMON stats and compile it from there,
but it's ugly and breaks a lot.
Thanks,
-Dave
