The "*" is only being updated by process-switching, so not a really good
indicator in your environment.

Can you post a "show ip cef 0.0.0.0 internal", you also want to check
your adjacencies.. http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/105/loadbal_cef.html
describes some commands you may want to double-check..
