[nsp] ATA-186's back to back?

Yeah. Not exactly back to back, it would be routed over the internet, but
I'm looking for a quick cheap way to make this work and with the Hotline
functionality of them which was introduced in their newer software, this
should work fine from what I can tell.

Oh, you mean hook the ethernet up back-to-back, not the FXS side
port?
I don't see why this would not work.
You should be able to do this with the sip or h323 software and just
configure each other to speak to the others ip as the remote endpoint.
i haven't played with these too much, you can probally configure
them as a 'hotline phone', so you pick up the one and the other side rings.
I know how to configure this on the IOS side, just not on the ata-186.
