I've already had a go at my account manager and SEs about this.
We're not going to Sup720 anytime soon, and have been pushing for
48 port 10/100/1000 for months. They're finally here but there's no
IOS support. - We're running 12.1(19)E.

For Hybrid or CatOS only, 7.5(1) should work (but that means a Sup1a needs a
128MB DRAM upgrade or just go to Sup2).
I believe you are referring to SupIOS (Native), in which case no pre-12.2S
code currently supports the WS-X6148-GE-TX. However, 12.1(19)E2 should, so
get on that train i.e. c6sup22-pk2o3sv-mz.121-19.E.bin or similar. Sine
12.1(19)E just came out, it will probably be another 2-3 months before E2
is released. 12.1E train is Sup1/Sup1a/Sup2 only (no Sup720 support).
12.2.14-SX[1] does not support it, but 12.2.17-SX should support this
module.
This code shuld be available in September, and if doesn't have support,
you'll
have to wait until Jan/Feb 2004 in the 12.2S train. This train is Sup720
only.
So I guess no SupIOS (Native) code supports the WS-X6148-GE-TX today. (???)
I think they are going to merge Sup2 12.1E features with Sup720 12.2S
features
around Dec 2003 (Sup1/Sup1a will be able to do Hybrid, but not Native,
12.2S).
That means Sup2 12.2S support will happen at this time.
