Subject: [nsp] Serial0/0:0 is reset, line protocol is down.... ?
I have a 2600 with a VWIC-1MFT-G703 connected to a Telecom Italia
provided Selta SNT-H SHDSL access point (yep, E1 local loop over DSL ;)
).. The guy on site claims the config is as follows:
controller-type e1 0/0
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31
framing nocrc
When doing a 'show controller e1' it says:
E0/0 is down
Receiver is getting AIS
Doing a 'show int' says:
Serial0/0:0 is reset, line protocol is down
Hard looping towards the router brings everything up. Moving the coax
around results in a variety of loss of frame and loss of sync alarms and
the correct connections always result in AIS. At this point I am fairly
well convinced that the problem is on the telco side and not some
configuration issue, but the provider had successfully tested through a
loop on this very equipment earlier in the day.
Any information would be most appreciated..
Thanks,
Tim
