For massive installations, Digi Etherlite 32 (www.digi.com) with conserver
(www.conserver.com/) freeware runs about $40/port. We manage 3000 servers
with this solution. If you're looking for a stand alone solution, the Digi
CM 32 is great and it runs just over $2k for 32 ports (supports ssh, port
buffering, ...).

Subject: [nsp] Cheap solution for a Terminal Server
Hi all,
Just like to find out if there is a cheap solution to set up a terminal
server, rather than using a Cisco 2600 with the CAB-OCTAL-ASYNC= cables.
Is there any other devices which will perform the same function, at a
lower cost?
Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks.
