[nsp] Port mirroring on 2924XL

I have a 2924XL running "Version 12.0(5)XU, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)"  
that I have an IDS on.  The IDS is working, since packets directed at 
the IDS machine are logged, but I'm not seeing the test probes to any 
other machines on the switch.  Config snippet is

interface FastEthernet0/6
  port monitor VLAN1
  no cdp enable

and all ports are in VLAN 1, and the IDS is listening to all packets 
since it works as expected on a plain dumb hub.

Any pointers?
