[nsp] APS in IOS

Hello,

 

            I have a quick question about APS in IOS. 

I am not sure what the difference is between these two commands. CCO is not
very clear. Are they exactly the same?

 

Aps force and aps manual.

 

I disabled keepalives and set pos ais-shut on the interface. I would like to
simply shut down the interface to force a switchover it either direction
ultimately.

 

Is there a recommended way to cause the working to failover to the protect?
