[nsp] NPE 300 or 225 for atom?

hi

i want to try out the new command line for ATOM in my lab (12.0(26)S), but i 
need to get npe 225/300/400 for that (i think). the strange thing is that 
the npe 300 is LESS than the npe 225 in the used equipment market. does 
anyone know why that could be? can the 225 do anything the 300 can't? i am 
confused..
