Hi

After getting people to play onsite today, it appears our 48 port Ethernet
blade is failing instead.

2003 Oct 24 10:47:01 %SYS-5-MOD_INSERT:Module 3 has been inserted
2003 Oct 24 10:47:01 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Module 3 is taking an unusual amount
of time to come online
2003 Oct 24 10:47:18 %SYS-3-MOD_MINORFAIL:Minor problem in module 3
2003 Oct 24 10:47:18 %SYS-3-MOD_MINORFAIL:Minor problem in module 3
2003 Oct 24 10:47:22 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Astro(3/1) - timeout occurred
2003 Oct 24 10:48:44 %SYS-3-MOD_MINORFAIL:Minor problem in module 3
2003 Oct 24 10:48:45 %SYS-5-MOD_OK:Module 3 is online

I disabled all the port before I moved it and just re-enabled the two I
need.

2003 Oct 24 10:49:48 %PAGP-5-PORTTOSTP:Port 3/29 joined bridge port 3/29
2003 Oct 24 10:49:51 %PAGP-5-PORTTOSTP:Port 3/48 joined bridge port 3/48

They've come up no problem and the errors have stopped.

Very odd :-)

I've ordered another blade.

Regards

Darren Smith

The link below may help, but I've seen it said elsewhere that this is a
fairly common problem with Cat4000's and that it usually means the
Supervisor is going bad.
