According to the Feature Navigator on cisco.com, the NPE-G1 is only
supported in the following (latest) releases:
12.3(6)
12.3(7)T
12.3(5a)B
12.3(2)XB3
12.2(21)SW
12.2(18)S4
12.2(15)T9
12.2(11)YX1
12.1(22)E
As such, you are going to have to move to one of the releases that supports
that hardware. I'd check the combination of features you need on cisco.com
using the Feature Navigator to be sure that you get a release that has
everything you need.
