[nsp] 6506 cooling

Can't say that I have tried that. Depending on the wattage and number
of power supplies, it will vary. You probably have 2-4 inches clearance
on either side. If you can put it towards the top of the cabinet and
the cabinet has some good extractor fans in the top (as most good
cabinets do), you should be OK. You will know soon enough! These
switches are pretty good about complaining when they get too hot.

Subject: [nsp] 6506 cooling

Has anyone ever had any issues with cooling 6506's when installed in
racks with side panels? I need a switch for a single rack POP, and would
rather not burn half the rack with a 6509-NEB is I can get away without
one.

TIA for your experiences.

Simon
