This depends on your needs, of course. 3550/3750 are good at some
tasks, not so good at others. You have pointed out some areas where
they work well - however, if you need a large number of active VLANs,
a large number of MAC addresses, a large routing table, or working SVI
counters, they are *not* very good. YMMV.
