What's your layer-2 look like? Did you checked all the uplinks to make sure
no switch ports saturated? Also did you check the cpu/ram usages on all your
routers and switches? It is hard to figure out the problems without a
digram.

Subject: [nsp] 6506 strange problem

Hello all,

I have cat6506/Sup720 with SFM-capable 48 port 10/100/1000mb RJ45 Module
installed on Slot 1.
I used hybrid ios s72033-psv-mz.122-17d.SXB and it is running good (no
error msg at booting).
The plan for this stuff is it to interconnecting core layer routers and
distribution routers using separate vlan and ospf.

I have about 15 routers on distribution layer and 2 core layer router.
The traffic in/out from each dist routers member is average. The higest
traffic is 40 Mega on the peak hour on 2 or 3 routers. The rest are
about 10 Mega at the peak hour.
When i migrating my network to this stuff, it was ok in the non busy
hour. But the nightmare start at Monday morning.

Entire network become slow. Accessing internal servers which on the same
vlan with my internal network's router, slower then before even
unreachable. Accessing internet is nightmare.

The interfaces looks ok. No CRC, no i/o error. But one thing i notice is
the input and output rate cannot reach more than 20 Mega on several
ports. Including ports which serving core routers.

anyone have clue please ?

~Hy~
