Rather you should say that OSM is CEF256 and has single connection to
the 32-Gbps shared bus & single 8-Gbps  connection to the crossbar
while
FlexWan is classic and has single connection to the 32-Gbps shared bus -
NO connection to the crossbar

BTW there is Enhanced FlexWAN which is CEF256 :)

There were some other issues with FlexWan, don't remember on top of my
head
