Well, managed to solve the problem myself. Looking at the AS5300 voice DSP
card, I noticed the flash module which seemed to look exactly the same as
those in the C3600 series. So I took out the flash, put it into a 3620 and
formatted it. Put it back into the AS5300 voice DSP card and voila... the
board was in ROMMON mode and I was able to again upload a working VCWare. No
idea what I would have done if I did not have a spare 3620 to erase the flash
with the incomplete VCWare image. Posting this here in the hope that this
helps someone who runs into the same problem.
