but what about EoMPLS on GigE/Fe interfaces? In which configuration this is supported on 6500?

Looks like 6500 really lacks about features which enable transfering layer2 over layer3, at this moment it looks like that l2tpv3 is also unsupported on 6500. And I think that bridging gre tunnel and some vlan/fe/ge together won't work :)
