http://rrfw.sourceforge.net simply rocks when compared to MRTG & Cricket and
it is blazingly fast; we are currently monitoring ~10,000 objects including
servers and network devices, so far I'm impressed. Good stuff -

I deployed a few 1.1 systems that did their job (SNMP data collection) very
well.  Extremely customizable.  I used a separate RRDTool front-end
(http://www.raxnet.net/products/cacti/) to display the graphs, and recommend
it as well.
