[nsp] PRP-1 and EPA-GE/FE-BBRD incompatibility?

Hello,
we are experiencing problems with a 12410 equipped with PRP-1 and an
EPA-GE/FE-BBRD, 12.0(25)S2.
The 10x1GE LC EPA-GE/FE-BBRD keeps crashing now and then, as load on the only GE
connected port exceeds some threshold. We changed completely the entire LC once,
we moved it to another slot and connected to another port, with no result.

The sh context command shows a Software forced crash, and the TAC told us it was
a known but still unsolved bug in any IOS version (CSCed46743), so the reseller
offered us to change the PRP-1 with GRP's in the meanwhile that the bug is
solved in a new release, and install a GRP image too.
The question is: EPA-GE/FE-BBRD and PRP's are out since one year or so. Is it
possible that only our router has that HW configuration so that no-one else
experienced before such a bug? Do you think the workaround will work?
