Hi ,

I have a question about l2ptguard.

Currently I have the following command on my Cisco 3550
'errdisable detect cause l2ptguard'. and I am getting the following
error message
"PM-4-ERR_DISABLE","l2ptguard error detected on Fa0/3, putting Fa0/3
in err-disable state"

Does this mean I am actually receiving a frame with the Cisco
Multicast MAC address (01-00-0c-cd-cd-d0) on this port and which is
forcing the port to go into errdisable state or could this mean
something else ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,
Aakash
