I've seen a fair number of hardware issues on RSMs, but they usually leave
log
entries (RSM or Sup) that tell you what happened. I can confirm that
CatOS 5.5(13a) is a very stable release for Sup2s (WS-X5509) and
Sup3s (WS-X5530). We have been upgrading RSMs to 12.1(20) in order to
support CEF and avoid some bugs.
