Its not officially supported, but works fine in I/O-GE+E and PA-GE (have
tried getting this config blessed, but guess I need to lean on sales
channel more):

GigabitEthernet0/0 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is i82543 (Livengood), address is
  Internet address is
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
  Keepalive set (10 sec)
Full Duplex, 1000Mbps, Auto-negotiation, unknown media type
output flow-control is off, input flow-control is off
Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is unknown media type
output flow-control is off, input flow-control is off

GigabitEthernet1/0 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is WISEMAN, address is
  Internet address is
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,

This is on an NPE400 running 12.2(18)S1, though it was fine under
12.2(14)S as well (never tried others). Also tried it on 7304/NSE100
onboards without problems.
