Here's something that might help you out, in our infrastructure we've got a variety of switches, along with our customer networks in which the Catalyst flavour varies...

Sorry, my bad, should have noted that we are using the 3550 boxes as 3rd layer devices (I'm not very inclined to calling these things "routers" :D).
