flow records can be exported from an L2-only cat6k, see the section
"Configuring NDE" in configuration guide for your version of catOS.
here's a url for v6.4 (pretty old, but that's what i've got in my

netflow on these boxes uses a 32K cache, which can be a bit small
for some situations. it was too small for us, and dropped a lot of
records (note: the packets aren't dropped, just the flow records).
