Hello!
I am looking for advise concerning some software which could be used for
schematic documentation of our network in more efficient manner than Visio
does.
Idealy it should be something simpler (and much cheaper) than classical
inventory system like Cramer, but more smart than just object editor like
Visio.
Ability to document cabling, L2 and L3 topologies are mandatory.
Idealy it should has some ability to check reality with what has been
documented concerning L2 and L3 topologies (using SNMP and/or L2/L3 devices
configuration processing).
This software should support cooperative work of group of people with
several projects with ability to track particular project changes during
its lifecycle.
It should be client/server based and should support both Windows and Unix
clients.
Any suggestions?

Volodymyr.
