Hi,
Sorry,
I
know
that
MY
QUESTION
is
not
directly
related
with
Cisco
but,
I
tought
professionals
in
this
group
might
suggest
about
general
conceptual
point
of
view.
We have an access server Ascend MAX 6000. It has 2 BRI cards, total of 16
BRI slots. What we just want to add is a PRI connection to it by E1 WAN
port. Trunk is up and when we dial PRI numbers modems are answering. We
have couple of problems here:
1. ISDN BRI channels are actively used by dial-up users. After certain
time we activate trunk, E1 connection, analog calls to BRI numbers
begins to be disconnected, all of them. What logs suggests is ;
Sep 17 02:07:39 ASCEND: slot 0 port 0, line 19, channel 1, Incoming Call,
3927144502 [MBID 196; 3927144502->3922200010]
Sep 17 02:07:39 ASCEND: slot 7 port 1, Assigned to port, 3927144502 [MBID
196; 3927144502->3922200010]
Sep 17 02:07:41 ASCEND: slot 7 port 1, line 19, channel 1, Call Connected,
3927144502 [MBID 196; 3927144502->3922200010]
Sep 17 02:07:41 ASCEND: call 70 AN slot 7 port 1 VOICE 3922200010
2. When we call PRI lines with an analog modem the connection appears to
be ok after
a long handshaking. So, connection takes too long or not connected
after a long
handshaking period.
3. After we connected to PRI lines pinging to DNS server, (which is on
the same switch as ascend)
has some lost about 20 per cent.
What could be the reason for the above problems? Would it be some sort of
incompatibility? Any suggestion is greatly acknowledged.
Best Regards,
-Mehmet
