| Hi all.

| I have a client with an 805 Cisco router and needs to recover a forgotten
| password.
|
| As always, I've booted into ROMMON and am trying to set the
config-register to
| 0x2142 to bypass NVRAM upon boot.
|
| However, turns out the TinyROM has been password protected because I end up
| with a "boot>" prompt after the break sequence, rather than "boot#".
|
| And as luck would have it, customer doesn't know/recall the TinyROM password
| either.
|
| How can I recover this password to proceed with the IOS password recovery?

When the router boots up to "boot>" prompt, have you tried to enter the
"enable" command? If it indeed booted without loading a config, you should
be able to enable with a null password.
