That's nothing.  I replaced an RSP and a VIP in a 7507 this morning.
When checking to see that everything was okay, I did a "s diag" on the
VIP slot, and I see:

        Flags: 0x4      Insertion time: 0x1EE600B4 (584942417y17w ago)

That's right; that VIP was installed almost 585 million years ago.
