What sort of Catalyst?  

There are "some" differences between a cat 1900 and a cat 6500...

(I'd guess that you have at least 12 completely different switch 
architectures, all sold as "Cisco Catalyst" - 1900, 2900, 2900XL, 
2948G-L3, 3500XL, 2950, 2750, 3550, 3750, 4000/2948, 4500, 5000/2926, 
6500 - which one did I miss?)
