Traditional Cisco IOS Software can support a number of different routing protocols,
in same case even several completely isolated copies of the same routing protocol.
But to several important routing protocols Cisco supports only a single copy ( instance )
of the protocol running in the router.
32 routing contexts ( VRFs ) are allowed per router :
1 for connected
1 for static
1 for RIP
1 for BGP
28 for OSPF

Assunto: [c-nsp] MPLS VRF EIGRP scale
Does anyone have a feel for the maximum CE-PE EIGRP adjacencies on PE
platforms recommended by Cisco?
To what degree, if any, is the recommended limit of CE-PE EIGRP
adjacencies per-box less than the maximum recommeded CE-PE BGP
adjacencies?
Many customers want CE/PE EIGRP over SP "MPLS VPN" product offerings. Is
there any compelling technical reason why an SP would not embrace CE/PE
EIGRP as a standard service for customers? I understand the provisioning
objections ....
