One way to get this information is the Usertracking tool of CiscoWorks CampusManager.

Another way is NetDisco (http://www.netdisco.org).

We have just migrated from ciscoworks to netdisco for this functionality on
a medium sized campus network (about 750 L2 Switches, 50 Routers, 22.000
Ports)
