We have a couple of 7500 boxes which have gone too long without an IOS
upgrade. At least one of them may be memory challenged - RSP4 with 160
MB memory, VIP2-50 with 64 MB memory. Currently we have around 46 MB
free on the RSP, around 33 MB on the VIP2-50 cards. The boxes currently
run 120.(25)S1 and 12.0(27)S2.

According to

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/707/cisco-sa-20051102-timers.shtml

the versions with fixes for the timer bug are 12.0(28)S5, 12.0(30)S4
and 12.0(31)S1. Assuming 12.0(28)S5 is the one with the lowest memory
consumption, does anybody know any good reasons why we should *not*
use this version? Other suggestions?
