We have one pushing well beyond 1.2Gbps bidirectional with single
digit processor load. It's mostly doing MPLS VPNs and
Martini-tunnels.
There has never been any performance issues with the 7304/NSE-100's,
but the stability could be better. Most of the bugs has been
related to problems around redundancy (they have got dual
NSE-100's).
One very nice thing with the NSE-100 compared with the NPE-G100 is
the ability to use the GE-ports on the standy NSE-100 all the
time. The 3 GE-ports on the standby NPE-G100 is in diabled
state...
On not so nice thing with dual processors (in addition to the
stability issues) is that only 2 slots remains for line cards... I
wish Cisco did supply an 7306 as well :)
