[c-nsp] CDP over ATM

Hello,

is there a way to get CDP working over an ATM link?

The set-up is as follows:

7206VXR <-> ATM Switch <-> ATM Switch <-> 7206VXR

interface ATM2/0.816 point-to-point

ip address x.y.240.117 255.255.255.252

 pvc augusto 9/816

  cbr 10000

  encapsulation aal5snap

 !

end

When I try to enable CDP:

alfonso# conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

alfonso(config)#int atM 2/0.816

alfonso(config-subif)#cdp enable

% CDP is not supported on this interface, or for this encapsulation

I am pretty much ignorant of ATM, and took the first config that worked; so
I'm not particularly keen on using "this encapsulation" (or whatever
prevents me from having CDP running over this link), as long as it forms an
OSPF adjacency and forwards packets over the /30 subnet.

Vincent
