A couple of questions for dial gurus:

1) When configure NFAS group, should status of primary and backup D-channels
look like below:

01#sh isdn status serial 6/0:23
Global ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
ISDN Serial6/0:23 interface
        dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
Primary D channel of nfas group 1	<<-----
    Layer 1 Status:
        ACTIVE
    Layer 2 Status:
        TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED <<---
    Layer 3 Status:
        0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
    Active dsl 0 CCBs = 0
    The Free Channel Mask: 0x807FFFFF
    Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 6
Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0

01#sh isdn status serial 7/0:23
Global ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
ISDN Serial7/0:23 interface
        dsl 8, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
Backup D channel of nfas group 1	<<------
    Layer 1 Status:
        ACTIVE
    Layer 2 Status:
        TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
<<-----
    Layer 3 Status:
        0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
    Active dsl 8 CCBs = 0
    The Free Channel Mask: 0x807FFFFF
    Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 1
Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0
01#

or backup should have status
      Layer 1 Status:
          DEACTIVATED
      Layer 2 Status:
          TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = TEI_ASSIGNED

01#show isdn nfas group 1

         ISDN NFAS GROUP 1 ENTRIES:

         The primary D is Serial6/0:23.
         The backup D is Serial7/0:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial6/1:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial7/1:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial6/2:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial7/2:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial6/3:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial7/3:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial6/4:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial7/4:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial6/5:23.
         The NFAS member is Serial7/5:23.

There are 12 total nfas members.
There are 286 total available B channels.
The primary D-channel is DSL 0 in state IN SERVICE
The backup D-channel is DSL 8 in state STANDBY
The current active layer 2 DSL is 0.

2) Is it possible to simulate failure somehow ? When I shut cotroller or
6/0:23 nothing works at all

Thanks
