Hi,
setup:
[Internet]...--- POS1/0 Rtr2 Tu102 ----- Tu102 Rtr1 Fa0/0 ---- Host
Rtr1: 12.3(14)T2
Rtr2: 12.2(25)S5
Host joins IPv6 multicast group (SSM, but that shouldn't matter). Tree
builds up fine, packets coming in via POS1/0 and should be forwarded
into the GRE Tunnel102. Doesn't work:
Jul 7 19:10:17.985 CEST: MFIB: Pkt
(2001:700:1:7:211:D8FF:FE8F:1F9B,FF3E::4321:1234) from POS1/0 (FS)
accepted for forwarding
Jul 7 19:10:17.985 CEST: MFIB: Pkt
(2001:700:1:7:211:D8FF:FE8F:1F9B,FF3E::4321:1234) from POS1/0 (FS)
transmission error on Tunnel102
That happens for each multicast packet.
When I set up a multicast source on Host and join from the Internet,
things go fine... so taking packets from Fa0/0 and forwarding them
to Tu102 on the 12.3T box works.
Is that a 12.2S specific bug? I wasn't able to find something matching
on CCO (bugtool). Or if this isn't a bug, where should I look for
misconfig?
Side question: is IPv6 CEF support for GRE tunnels on the radar?
Performance without CEF is abysmal. My 3640 maxes out at approximately
100KByte/s scp/ftp unicast traffic...
Regards,
Daniel
