[c-nsp] Minimum Sun hardware requirement for running ACS

Thanks Scott & Jerry.

I happen to see at another location a Cisco ACS that runs
on Windows & the client PC uses a browser (believe it's
https) to browse the ACS server to create id/set privileges.

At our office location, we're currently using a freeware running
on Sun (the daemon is "tac_plus") which has limited features
but all we do is to edit the tac_plus.conf file, restart the tac_plus
daemon as & when we create userids - no browser/GUI, only
text screens. Will the Cisco ACS work in pure text mode?

Need to know so that we either get eXceed clients or get a
graphics card+screen for the SunFire V120 included in the
budget

Thanks
Roger

That is incorrect, the ACS is still a supported and developed product.
ACS 4.0 (due out later this year, I think) is/will be integral to
enterprise NAC implementations and other high-volume authentication
transaction services. I can only really speak to the Wintel side of
things, from looking at the website it would appear that Unix support
may be lagging, but the overall product is still very much there.
