But, if the NVRAM is getting "corrupted" due to power-cycle and not 
during a soft reset (reload), this may be something different.

Do you have any console msgs? Are you getting something like

"Rommon NVRAM area is corrupted"?

If this happens only on powercycle and not on reload, you may want to 
replace the Supervisor.
