[c-nsp] 3550 Switch and BGP

Hi all,

I'm setting up a network in a co-location situation. We're going to be
getting 2 ISP connections, coming to us via 10meg Ethernet. I will be
doing BGP on these links and need a pair of switches for my public zone
so I had the idea that perhaps I should just do BGP right on my
switches. I'm not going to have a lot else going on these switches - 3
firewalls (2 redundant for each other), the two ISP connections and a
VPN appliance.

As far as BGP goes, all I'll be doing is advertising a subnet or two and
getting just default routes or perhaps directly connected routes from
the providers. A pair Cisco 3550s with EMI should be able to handle
this, right? I would guess it probably wouldn't handle receiving the
full routing table? I get a lot of conflicting advise on how to size a
router/switch for BGP.

Thanks,

Chris
