Ah, I see where I was messing up. I thought the number on the left was
the interval number and the numbers to the right of it where the number
of changes that occurred during that interval.

EIGRP (lots of routes but will be going away soon)
OSPF (just a handful of routes from a device that doesn't do EIGRP)
BGP (migrating to MPLS-based VPN)
