The "older" pa-fe-tx's "without handles" aren't really pa-fe-tx's -- they
are generally pulls from old CX-FEIP-2TX blades which were essentially a
VIP1 with two "historic" PAs. The PAs on that old blade weren't supposed
to be removeable, although they can often be pulled out and put in VIP2's
without problems.

I can't say for sure if the handleless PAs will work or not in a VXR, but
at best you'd have an unsupported configuration. It would be difficult to
remove the PA's too -- you couldn't pull out the VIP like you can in a
7500 to get leverage on the individual PAs.
