According to the 12.2SX configuration guide for SPAN and friends, ERSPAN
requires that I run 12.2(18)SXE, and have hardware rev 3.2 or higher on
my sup720s. The config guide says to run this command:

  Router# show module version | include WS-SUP720-BASE
     7 2 WS-SUP720-BASE SAD075301SZ Hw :3.2

I've got several sup720/PFC3BXLs, and they don't report a WS-SUP720-BASE.
They report as follows:

dc-g#sh mod vers
Mod Port Model Serial # Versions
--- ---- ------------------ ----------- --------------------------------------
 1 2 WS-SUP720-3B SAD084308KD Hw : 4.1
                                        Fw : 8.1(3)
                                        Sw : 12.2(18)SXD3
                                        Sw1: 8.4(0.61)RCC4
         WS-SUP720 SAD084900S1 Hw : 2.2
                                        Fw : 12.2(17r)S2
                                        Sw : 12.2(18)SXD3
         WS-F6K-PFC3BXL SAD08200C9A Hw : 1.3

I'm guessing that I should be looking at the hardware rev on WS-SUP720-3B
above (which is 4.1), in which case I'm good to go (modulo the IOS upgrade).

Can someone confirm?

thanks,
mb
