hi,
what is the current state of affairs wrt using non-cisco-branded
CWDM SFPs in catalyst 6500s?
i'm trying to use a Finisar-manufactured SFP in a WS-X6748-SFP module
in a 6506/sup720-3BXL running 12.2(18)SXE2, without success:

i can't tell if IOS is balking at the non-cisco SFP or if the CWDM SFP is
actually defective (note the word "faulty") in the output from "sho int".
any pointers or hints will be appreciated.
