Sorry, had to go and read configuring interfaces in the explanation of configuring both ports you are correct, that the last slot falls back to only being able to support the 2 port gigabit module. So either use dual 10 gigabit, or the 4 gigabit uplinks, try not to require both or port density is lowered substantially.
